Early Days

Dr. Cerwin grew up in a small town in Burlington, Wisconsin. From an early age, he was a keen sportsman, and spent much of his youth skiing at the Alpine Valley Ski Resort or running around his hometown.
Even after his career took off, this athleticism continued. In his 40s, he became a triathlete, successfully completing a number of Ironman Triathlons.

Education

Graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1989, Dr. Cerwin embarked on his first two degrees, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
It was during this time that Dr. Cerwin received help from a chiropractor for an ongoing issue with his back and pelvis. This insight into chiropractic care prompted his passion for the treatment, which is why he then went on to study at the National University of Health Sciences, where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
At the same university, Dr. Cerwin was awarded his Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician certificate in 1991, followed by a board certification in Chiropractic Orthopedics in 1993.

Career

From 1994 to 2004, Dr. Cerwin was the Official Team Chiropractor for the Carolina Panthers, and was also the Team Chiropractor for the Hendrick Motorsports Racing teams between 2001 and 2004.

Despite running this busy chiropractic clinic, Dr. Cerwin also dedicates his time to educating others on chiropractic practices, lecturing at the Physician Groups Nationwide on a regular basis. He is also currently working toward a board certification in Chiropractic Pediatrics.
Further, Dr. Cerwin is a proud member of the American Chiropractic Association, the North Carolina Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council. He’s also a fellow of the American College of Chiropractic Orthopedists.
